These Terms of Use govern your use of Taxa. By downloading or using the app, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use Taxa.

What Taxa is — and isn't

Taxa provides general educational and guidance information about Philippine BIR (Bureau of Internal Revenue) compliance — filing guides, deadline reminders, and reference content. Taxa is for educational and guidance purposes only. It is not a substitute for professional accounting, tax, or legal advice, and it does not file taxes on your behalf or connect directly to BIR systems. Always confirm your specific situation with the BIR or a licensed accountant.

Free tier and account

You can use Taxa's free tier without creating an account. Certain features (unlimited filing guides, reminders, Knowledge Hub articles, bookmarks, and managing more than one business) require a Taxa Premium subscription.

Subscriptions

Taxa Premium is offered as an auto-renewing subscription with the following plans:

Taxa does not currently offer a free trial. Payment is charged to your Apple ID or Google Play account at confirmation of purchase. Subscriptions automatically renew unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period. Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period, at the same price you originally agreed to unless changed and disclosed to you before renewal.

You can manage or cancel your subscription anytime through your Apple ID account settings (App Store) or Google Play account settings (Play Store) — Taxa does not process cancellations directly, as all billing is handled by Apple or Google.

Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse Taxa — including attempting to reverse-engineer the app, interfere with its operation, or use it for any unlawful purpose.

Disclaimer of warranties

Taxa is provided "as is." While we work to keep filing guides and deadlines accurate, BIR rules and requirements can change, and we don't guarantee that all content is complete, current, or error-free. Use of Taxa is at your own risk, and Taxa is not liable for any penalties, losses, or damages resulting from reliance on information provided in the app.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of Taxa after a change means you accept the updated terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of the Philippines.
